Re: ATM Any recent big BVC mirrors?
BILL,
IM working on a 14inch BVC mirror now,
in todays standards I don't know if it would be a LARGE mirror,
but , it being my first, to get this far, its LARGE for me.
it ground out as quick as my 8 inch,
it goes through the grit stages real quick,
when you get down to the finer grits its hard to see the
diffrence in the scratches.
it polishes real quick and is beautiful
it does scratch real easy,
ive reground back to 600-alox and started over from there
twice because of scratches,
one I believe came from the sink faucet,
I now use a jug of distilled water,
find something soft to wipe with and I wipe in a light circular motion
so ill know if its from the towel or my tool,
it gets what I learned was sleeks easily,
but they disappear fast.
make sure you keep your beveled edge edge polished with
your grit size,
scratch(gouge) 2 ,, pulled up a chip from the edge
heard it,felt it,
saw it,
deep and fast.
ronchi and focalt testing I find easier because its almost like a
mirror, only black,
would I buy another,
ya, maybe a 20inch someday,
have fun.
jep.
watch the edge it turns easy,
