The best location on the mirror to test for the turned edge is at about 45
degrees from the vertical towards the vertical.  This is where the "hooks"
are most visible.  Remember that the mirror is a figure of revolution (or it
should be if you are polishing correctly!)  Getting the number of lines down
to 2 really doesn't show anything of importance to me but others may see
something of value in that which I don't see.  I usually sit at around 5-9
lines for the testing of the shape of the mirror.  This number gives a good
indication of the shape while not being too many to see giving the reduction
of resolution of the image.
