Adam, I have an old Draper polishing machine that has a wood pulley that is just a cylinder. There was no effort made to make a "v" for the belt. It is 8 inches in diameter and 2 inches thick. The belt wanders a little on the surface but has never come off. Virgil Johnson Raider of the Lost Dark
