Re: ATM - Fractional HP Motors for Grinding machines

I'm using a 90 volt DC gearmotor with a fan rated dimmer, rectifier and
capacitor to smooth out the rectified voltage. The motor was bought
surplus for 20 dollars, the dimmer was around 10 dollars, the rectifier
was a dollar or so, and the capacitor was laying around the garage. I'd
guess another 5 dollars or so for that. I like it pretty much. It didn't
cost much, but I got lucky on the motor.
