When designing your machine don't leave
out step down shafts.
If your motor runs at 825 and you put a
one inch pully on it (cheap) to drive a
reduction set like inyour drill press you
will have a selection of speeds. Just use
a take off pully or another reduction set
on the bottom of your table shaft. Combining
them should get you quite a nice selection.
I, however, am stuck with a 50 RPM table and
have adapted to it. My overarm has a throw
of 10 rpm which matches it well.

P.S. Dump the drill press idea before you start.
You'll want a dedicated table very soon.....why not
start with one?
