With the low power, the color won't really show nor will the misalignment of
the lenses unless you have really done a poor job.  Stuffing in a very short
FL EP can show a lot more but for the most part, mechanical alignments will
do well enough.  You can do a bit of a test by looking at the reflections of
the various surfaces and see if they line up but that may be difficult to
observe readily.  I'd just square up the backside of the lens (which may be
flat) and be done with it for that little bit of power.
