ATM - "Single Strength" glass

Hi all,

I bought some window glass yesterday with the idea of
cutting some nice radius templates with a glass cutter
clamped to a long radius arm.

What I bought was labeled "Single Strength" sheet
glass. I came across this term for the first time ever
just the other day in one of the ATM (#3?) books.

Anybody know what this description refers to?

Have any of you tried sheet glass radius templates?
