ATM Cats & Rouge

OK. This is my OT post for ther year.

Once upon atime, back in the 60's, I made a regulation grinding/polishing
post set in the ground. It was about 6x6 timber with a nice wooden platform
on top and room to walk around it. Just right level for polishing. It
worked well.

Of course, the top eventually got covered in a liberal coating of red rouge.
For those who have never had the joy of using rouge, it is very pervasive
and results in a persistent red brown stain.

Well, the local king of the tom cats in the area decided it was just right
for a throne.

And he WAS white.

For ages, there was this rather mottled rusty red cat wandering the area
trying to look all puffed up and normal. Probably lasted a few months.

Always wondered what the lady cats thought of it. One way or another, this
probably had a major impact on the local feline gene pool.

Since I quite like cats, I covered it after that. Franks story just brought
it all back.
