Sounds like the makings for a CAT ASTRO PHE.  I once had a cat that loved to 
jump up into the top end of a 17 inch telescope every time it was aimed lower 
than 45 degrees.  The dive the telescope made was a thrill for all parties, 
cat included. I could have sworn I heard it giggle as it ran away.
