Another thing you might want to do is to check the color of the LED at
different current levels.  The early green LEDs were very sensitive to
current and would actually turn a fair bit yellow at high currents.  I
haven't played with the LEDs with my spectrosocpe but from the results noted
so far indicate that it may be interesting to see what they do for actual
colors that they are putting out.
