ATM Tremendous eye relief...?!

Hi,

When I look through my focuser fpr collimating my
just-rennovated telescope, all is well. But when I put
in an eyepiece, I need to look down the eyepiece many
inches above it to get the stars in focus! In other
words, I have an enrmous eye relief. How can I solve
this problem? Maybe it's  a problem caused by wrong
placement of secondary (I doubt that though)?
