Good point, metal tools for PRE-generated blanks...my own experience with a
grinding machine a couple years ago may have given me a wrong lesson:  I
made 12 long focus 4 1/4" mirrors from one alu. tool, and four long focus 6"
mirrors from another alu. tool.  All the blanks were flat, but then again,
they didn't need much curve generating, and the alu. tools handled that
well...and of course the find grinding was a breeze.
