Both Chuck Shaw & I have built rotating
secondary cages, his is for a 14" &
mine was for a 22" GEM I built recently
for a guy in Az.

Chuck's cage, with description of
how he built it & alined it, is at
http://www.ghgcorp.com/cshaw

The 22" Gem, no descriptive text, is at

http://c3po.cochise.cc.az.us/astro
under the "telescopes and observatories" section.

This one uses a thin aluminum ring with
an external V profile attached to the sec
cage, there are 4 mating v rollers attached
to the upper end of the truss, which is
attached to an octagonal welded frame.
There are adjustments for centering and
tilting the cage.

The mount has 6.3" dia hollow steel axles,
an 18" Byers polar gear, and motorized tangent arm
fine pointing drives.
