You can easily ruin your light bulbs this way and if they break, you can get cut.
I've used a "top ball" from a chain link fence post to bevel the inside edges of 
Cassegrain mirror perforations... Don't know if my neighbor ever figured out what
happened to his "top balls" or not... JUST KIDDING! You can get them at HOME DEPOT
and other fence type suppliers.
