Re: ATM The most stupid mistake

First off, before any of the people on the list who flame me for being OT,
flame the list, I want to say, I think this sort of thread builds community
and I appreciate that.

Next, I debated posting my stupidest mistakes, but here goes.

My most recent brain fade would be ronchii testing the f/5 I'm figuring
now. It was simple actually, I thought I was inside the ROC when I was
outside and visa-versa. I consider this pretty stupid as ronchii contrast
is visually different inside and outside of ROC and I know this.

Working my way back in time the next most stupid thing was smacking one
12.5 inch binocular blank against the other. Bill Marriott helped out
here, trading me a generated blank for the clam shelled one. It only took
about three months to get back to 600 and match the radii.

Farther back still would be leaving the spectroscope I made in college and
the 8" lensless schmidt camera I made in highschool where my then soon to
be ex-wife could get at them. I guess had it coming.

Of course I've made a few mistakes on the ATM list too. Namely, redefining
Petzval field curvature as a first order abberation, adding a hundard
inches to the diameter of the Hubble primary, and thinking Alabama held
claim to an island off the coast of Georgia.

Anyway, thanks for the bandwidth.
