Your comments remind me of the time I was working on a customer  vehicle,
trying to cut some old (hard) hose with a dull pocket knife (3&1/2 inch
long blade). It wasn't possible to get both working room and sufficient
leverage while giving due consideration to safety.  The hose was eventually
cut, and so was my thumb nail, the side of my thumb, the the palm of my
hand..... The knife blade was completely buried in my wrist when I'd
finished trimming the hose.

While cutting stitched up (they extended the original cut to locate and
carterize all the bleeding veins) my cousin from NJ dropped by. After
relating the details of this particular mishap, he gave these words of wisdom;

Yoo gunna be dum, yoo gotta be tuff!
