This all came up because of a possible trade for computer work with them...

Unfortunately, my C8 suits me fine except for the mount (It's a respectable OTA
for a beginner with minimal funding)..

According to their literature, the Maksutov-Cassegrain, and the
Maksutov-Newtonian are f/4, and f/7 respectively, which does sound
backwards..(could be a typo)

So it really comes down to: If I do the work, I would want a buyer for the Mak,
which I could sell for around 1000$ (500$ off listed price) so that I could get
a better mount..

not to waste space here, but if anyone is interested in the OTA for that price,
I'll get more details and pursue the work..please respond privately.
