[APML]: Guiding

The Astro-Photography Mailing List
------------------------------------

I was out doing some piggyback work lastnight, and a guiding question
came up..

I was using my C8 with a meade 12mm illuminated reticle for the
guidescope, and both a 300mm f5, and a 135mm f/2.8 for the lenses.. the
question is:

My reticle has 4 wires 2 parallel each way which makes a square in the
center.. While guiding, the star has quite a bit of area to roam inside
of that square.. so am I guiding well as long as the star stays inside?
It seems like a large area..

much appreciation...
