I just completed configuring a simular contraption for my Minolta Maxxum.
I've used a dead battery frame and have very small wires leading to a 6
volt lattern battery.

My problem is: the battery compartment door must be closed to push the
battery frame in to make the appropriate contact, but the door won't
close on those little wires!  It's a very tight fit without the wires.

Someone has suggested I drimmel a small opening at the edge of the
door, but I can't see myself cutting up my $1500. camera.  Any other
ideas out there?
