RE: [APML]: G-11= AP600 or AP900?

Unfortunately I didn't take a picture. But it looked like the base of the 
AP900 was round and fit into the upper part of the G11 upright tube. Maybe 
there was some special part in between; I didn't examine that carefully 
enough.

Do you remember how the AP900 connected to the G11 tripod? I prefer the G11
tripod to the AP pier; a friend of Roland Christen told me that Roland has
expressed admiration for the G11 tripod for its ease of setup and 
stability.
