Re: [APML]: N2 for Cameras

have bad editor now ... so this will be SHORT ...
1. need a gas flow 1 CFH/hr is more than enough ...
2. drill hole in bottom of camera thru tripod socket then drill a hole
down a 1/4-20 screw and fit it to the N2 hose w/ flowmeter
3. film stays dry .. does not lose sensitivity .. and does not CREEP
    from soaking up water...
4. yes but in good ways ... see 3

flowmeters cost $5 at a surplus store .. or $100 new .. take your pick <G>
you will see them graduated in CFM and CFH .. CFM is cubic ft per minute
which is OVERKILL ... you want a CFH type flowmeter ... plumbing for
this is easy ....<g>

drilling the camera ... do be careful ... you can put a vacuum hose in the
camera body while drilling so that any chips do nto get lodged in the
camera .. Tony stuck a was of clay over the drill point to catch chips...
you only need a very small hole ... but once the camera is drilled
you will need to be careful to use this camera body for normal photo
work ( light leak ) ...
