[APML]: Re: [APML] Help
I'm having a problem with deep sky photos using my 12" LX F10. I tried to
use the 6.3 focal reducer to reduce exposure times and make guiding
easier. The results were terrible.I had severe vignetting(central glow) in
the center of the print with a darker outer region.I live in area of
considerable light pollution.I used un-hypered fugi 800 and even at 5
minutes of exposure the problem occured.I'm thinking that the reducer can
only be used for visual work.If anyone has experience using a setup
similar to mine I'd like to know.I'm also using a JMI moto focus before
the reducer with the Taurus camera attached to the 6.3 reducer.I'm not
sure if that matters.I seem to be wasting alot of film and time.Any help
on this would be great. John L.
