an interesting observation .. and result... at JPL we're bound to use
the recommended oil ...  I'll switch at home to save me some $$$

are these 2 stage rotaries ???  or are you just talking about the Marvac
pumps .... or mechanical pumps ...

PS .. I looked up MARVAC .. THEY SAY .. use real Vac pump oil ...
so your info may save some $$$ for a bunch of people ...
