SCT mirror locks ...  we described this in AMOACP ... but you can go in
and drill holes for screws at the back of the SCT and then put in 3 screws
at 120 deg spacing ...  when you get close to focus .. start to tighten the
screws up  ... then finish focusing ... tweak screws... tweak focus ...

BUT ... *ALWAYS* remember to loosen the screws up before you go to
refocus later on ... or else  !!!  THe screws press against the flat
base of the mirror near the center ....   ( and we did this back in 1975
so both SCT makers may have totally reworked the insides of the OTAs ..
and this may be more or less difficult to do these days .... )
