Actually I'm just buying it from Lumicon and it does work. My friend Bob
Townsend says he's hypering his 4x5 film twice as long for D76 as he
used to for D19. I would suggest trying this and developing a test piece
to see what the density is. He's hypering his for a base fog of about
0.5.
His hypering time is 24 hours at 150 F.

On the Lumicon film the fog is about the same with HC-110 and is less
with D76, again indicating that a longer hypering time would be in order
for D76.
I wish I could use D76 all the time but the exposure times would be out
of the question with my Ritchey. A 120 min exposure with my 350-f/2.8
and
H-alpha filter is just right.
If you want to see a photo developed in D76, look at Robert Bickel's M8
image on my web page. The center looks burned out but it's not. It was
just
too dense for my scanner. Also all of Bob Townsend's images on my page
are developed in D76. Note the beautiful tonal range in his North
America.
