I forgot to mention it, but I recently purchased the Fargo PhotoFun! dye-sublimation 
printer.  This thing is 
kind of expensive (~ $500) for the size prints it makes (4x6), but now I can go from 
negative to a near 
photographic quality print (and I mean really near photographic quality - not like an 
inkjet or laser printer) 
all from the computer, completely bypassing the printing part of classic darkroom work.  
It's great!  But be 
forewarned. When I ordered mine, the salesperson never told me that as it comes, it 
doesn't contain the 
printer ribbon!!  Yoy have to order these directly from Fargo.  For $36 you get the 
ribbon and the special 
paper that the printer uses, enough to do 36 exposures.  I've got a gallery of prints of 
the images on my 
homepage hanging on my dining room wall.  Kinda neat to see them up there all at once.
