RE: [APML] Sagittarius-M8 to M17

Gary, compensating for the LPS filter has caused quite a color balance shift, and when you combine that with the light pollution that is still present, when you equalize the background to look neutral, the nebs went yellowish.  The milkyway also has a very flat look, due to applying too much of a gamma curve to data that is very low in contrast.  Id like to see an image of the raw scan if you could to help you furthur.

Subject: [APML] Sagittarius-M8 to M17

Hi All,
I'm posting this image from last New Moon in hopes that someone will clue me in on what's wrong.  This is the 8th. rendition and I'm still not happy with it.  I started by looking at many of the group's individual images of this area but everyone seems to have a different version.  I settled on Wei-Hao's but could never get the colors to come out even close to his so here's my version.  Comments/criticisms/suggestions are very welcome!!

Gary
