Re: [APML] Divide! and GradientBuilder
That sounds like a really helpful program, Carlos. Let us know when you are
finished. Can you explain why it would be more suited to film images as
opposed to DSLR? I'm not knowledgeable in that area. What is the difference?
Thanks alot.

the documentation for these new softwares I developed, thanks to the
PixInsight Class Library for C++ developed by Juan Conejero (and thanks to
him for his help!!!!).

we try to divide a raw image with a flat image (pseudo-flat or background
model) to correct vignetting or uneven field illumination. This application
deals with the nonlinearity of film data with two approaches: the user is
free to select with method to use, and stablish the main parameters that
reign them. This is explained more deeply in the documentation. Althrought
this software was made for film scanned images, I guess that it could be
usefull with some DSLR pics too.

sample points, select the simetry and interpolation method, and voilá. Not
much to say... somebody may try to generate a background model with it, or
just have fun. I'm working on a much better application that automatices the
background extraction process. Just wait a pair of weeks untill I correct
some bugs and write the documentation. It looks very promising!
