In my younger days we used to camp up hwy's 4 and 120. Sonora, Big
Trees, Twain Harte, Big Oak Flat. It's a fairly easy 2-3 hour drive
from the Bay Area (grew up in Hayward). Really nice country
thereabouts. Still never heard of Mountain Ranch though, may have
driven through it. Course I guess you never heard of where I live now;
Ruch, Oregon. So we're even. 8-)

Damn, I still get the urge sometimes to take off, go get my old best
friend, buy beer and ice and head for the hills.
