[APML] Northern Lights over Payson Last night !
Once again, we were fortunate enough to have clear skies for the opportunity
to shoot the Aurora from Arizona last night. A strong series of solar
flares brought the Kp index up to 9 briefly, and near 11pm last night, it
peaked for about 20 minutes. A deep ruby red glow to the northeast was the
result, as you will see captured in these images.
We set the robotic aurora cam up at about 10:30, and let it run all night.
We did not the late night aurora ourselves, but the camera caught the
action, every minute of it!
