RE: [APML] Summer Milky Way, Observers, BFSP
Jerry,
Beautiful shot. That is amazing - there is no noise reduction applied to
the image, and at ISO 3200. One cannot make an image like this with any
Nikon more than a year old, using no noise reduction. However, anyone
out there is welcome to prove me wrong. It was nice that the Black
Forest conjured up some transparent conditions.

I invite you to take a look at:
http://www.astropix.com/HTML/SHOWCASE/BFSP.HTM
It shows, in a single exposure, the summer milky way setting behind
observers at the Black Forest Star Party this year.
Note, this is NOT a composite. It is a simple time exposure with camera
on
a fixed tripod.
Taken with a Canon 20Da and 16mm - 35mm USM zoom f/2.8 lens working at
f/2.8 at ISO 3200 for 55 seconds with no noise reduction on in the
camera
and no dark frames later.
Milky Way down to the horizon, no light pollution!
