RE: [APML] OT: What does one's observatory look like?

Reading about copper nails reminds me of the tree spiking that went on
by the Earth Firsters in the Pacific Northwest in the 80's. A spike
going through a saw mill will create havoc, possibly even killing the
sawyer. I know of a tree faller that hit a nail and bucked the chainsaw
back into his face creating a 6 inch permanent scare. He's lucky it
wasn't worse.

The easiest way to kill a tree is severe the bark around the trunk. You
DON'T have to use a chainsaw to ring a tree. It can easily be done by
peeling sections of bark off by hand. Deer and Bear do it all the time
just by scratching or rubbing their antlers on the trunk.

By next spring, the tree will be dead. Guaranteed.

My humble 2 cents

Dave
