Well, that's a new one. Never heard of a bridge rectumfire. Bad thing
is that I will not be able to check anything out for awhile as the
long-forecasted clouds have moved in. They are here to stay for awhile
according to the 7 day forecast.

I don't even have a soldering iron. But, I could get one if I had a
schematic to show me what I was doing. Then again, maybe there are
dozens of obscure parts that could cause the weird readings. Have you
or anyone else ever had the rectifier go bad and then replaced it?
