It is actually not all that weird at all. There were changes made in the 
Gemini Auto-Guider Input circuitry to better accomodate those users 
having non-relay Auto-Guiders and Cameras. Part of those changes 
affected the ability of the Gemini to react to relay closures and to the 
necessity of having the contacts "debounced". And yes you are indeed 
correct that it doesn't affect all users at all.  Renee and Scott were 
both quite helpful in assisting with the resolution.
