Re: [APML] Anybody out there?
Carlos,
I'm so sorry your image went unnoticed. Its a dramatic display of the depth
of Barnards loop and the detail in the HH and M42 regions is good
considering
the short focal length. I noticed you applied some smoothing which seems to
have
worked nicely. Some of the blue areas outside of Barnards loop seem as if
they are
contamination maybe from light pollution (or moonlight?). Anyway all in all
its a high quality film image.

I'll be banned from some mail inboxes): What is happenning here? Why almost
nobady comments or critics any of my pics. I know that I am a nobody here, a
"new member", and from another country (and maybe you don't understand very
well what I'm trying to say...), but c'mon, this is a Film Astrophotography
Mailing List, and indeed my pics were taken by film. They are not the best,
not the worst, but I think that they deserve anything else than just
clicking and viewing it. With your suggestion or critics I can improve them,
but right know I don't know even if you like them or not.
> BTW, in my previous image I applied two new techniques and nobody apart
from Stuart (thank you very much, as always) asked about them. The
film-linealizated division is a very easy to implement technique and it has
shown some very promising results. Also I talked about another way to
perform a star shaping routine...

TP and other films. Buy as much as you can, and use it. Then, use the
technology that is avalaible today to enchance your images further than you
could do just a few years ago.
