About your picture, as I mentioned earlier, your flat fielding seems to 
work nicely, probably better than my nonlinear version.  

Well... what really attracts my attention is your last statement 
"FILM IS NOT DEAD!"   Film is certainly not dead.  From my point of view, 
however, it's dying.  It's dying in a way much more rapid than I would 
thought a year ago.  I hope I'm wrong.
