Hi Alan--I think this quote from Jim Janusz' article on using the ST4
which is located on Philip Perkins AstroCruise website is what you're
llooking for:/
"If you require multiple exposures of the same subject, and you
interrupt the ST-4, it will return the guide star to the same pixel
location if you hold down the mode key and press track. When you see the
first track error displayed release the mode key. The ST-4 will drive
the telescope back to the previous position over the next few cycles".
