It can't possibly have been there more than a couple weeks, it's only
been that long since the film was developed. It's been in the film lab
since then as they were doing some enlargements for me. The film has
only been here a few days, and I just noticed it this morning. It might
possibly be the best negative of this batch I'm scanning and
processing. I would hate to waste a 3 hour exposure where nothing went
wrong under dark OSP skies. I have never seen such a blob of crap on a
negative before. Under a magnifying glass, it looks like I'd need a
hammer and chisel to remove it.

Thanks for your advice,
Alan
