RE: [APML] registering images...




Now I haven't tried this so it's only hearsay but I seem to remember Philip
Perkins mentioning somewhere along the line that he used Registar to stack
and align a series of amazing Moon pix that he took with excellent results.
Before jumping to the conclusion that it doesn't work, you might check with
him.

I wasn't clear enough --- I don't think it handles planetary images,
e.g., the moon.  Registar does excel at handling minor distortions
across a large image when the image is full of stars.  It seems to
really on work on images with point sources.
