[APML] Couple of Wide-Angle shots on Konica Centuria 400

Jason,

This is a really tough area of the sky to shoot & proces, and the image looks fine on my monitor. Note I'm running at 1600x1200 screen resolution. Those with a lower resolution may see more noise. My effort at this area is here: http://www.dl-digital.com/astrophoto/Antares.html

Yours is a bit warmer in the lower half, which I kind of like, but that's a matter of taste. Theres a bit of a blue background at the top, but that's just a nit. I'm sure it could be processed more, etc., but speaking from experience, you just have to stop futzing with an image at some point.

Summarizing: Nice picture!

Hello all,

I've been working on Rho Ophiuchus region for a couple of months now, trying to get a decent shot of it. Two rolls of Centuria and a resolved slipping piggy-back mount later, I finally got a couple of decent exposures that I was able to play with. (funny mule discussion removed)

As an afterthought, I swung over and took this shot of the area from Lagoon up to M24:

My scanner has been having fits lately...it was a tough time trying to get rid of the noise. I tried out SGBNR to get rid of it, and the mottling that's left may be film grain. Film has good response like we've been seeing, but this batch seemed a little too red to me.

I hope you enjoy, and thoughts and comments are appreciated!

-Jason
