RE: [APML] IC1396 in Ha /Tech Pan
Brian, Jim x2, John,
Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
John, You are correct there is a hot spot that I have tried to correct
for in PS. I made another adjustment per your image, very nice BTW.
Jim Janusz, I also made a slight curves adjustment as well. Maybe not
enough, but I'm always afraid of over doing it. The film is working out
great!
Jim Ives, I am using D19, but when that is used up I plan to try HC110.
I will try the next time out to go longer. I'll give 60 and 70 minutes a
try and if that works I'll increase more.
The bad news- The stinking lines showed up again on the part wound up
into the camera body. Since I only took the 2 images they were not on
those. Repairing the seals apparently did not correct the problem. I
will try another body next time out to see if there is a difference.
Scott

Scott, great shot. The only way to tell if you need more exposure is to
try
it. At f2.8 you may want to test 60 and 70 minutes. Looking at this
shot,
it can be curved a bit more. I did a curve of in 116 and out 151
without
burning out any of the nebula. There seems to be a lot of data there.
Great work.
Jim
