During years 2000-2002 I was very active on the APML (http://starmatt.com). This year I've had to sacrifice my AP time, because I've co-founded a start-up with a cool idea for providing astronomy imagery. I would like to invite each of you to check out our web site and let me know what you think of it. Also, in the next couple months we'll need alpha and beta testers.

Starting in December we will offer unlimited tours ("missions") to subscribers. We are installing a robotic observatory in the Canary Islands. We are developing software to run the observatory and transmit live images, audio, and telemetry from the observatory to each user's browser. We will program and publish a schedule of missions. At launch we will be prepared to handle 1000 concurrent users. We certainly welcome amateur astronomers to subscribe, but the product is aimed primarily at mainstream families and schools. All you need is an internet connection.

The basic service costs $49 per year.
