Hi Dave:
I think I may have a clue. The red and the L frames have been stretched so
that their histograms cover the whole 0 to 65000 range of brightness. If
that was done before the color combine, it would completely throw off the
weighting. Could that be what happened? When you do the combine you must use
unstretched masters. Do the stretching after you have done the color
combine.
