By reputation, the 300 f4.5 non-ED version is as good, or nearly as 
good, as the 300 f4.5 ED.  The ED version is excellent.  Wide open will 
be be great.

Hello,

I have a chance to pick up a like new, barely used Nikor Len  300mm 
f/4.5   (not ED  :-)  )
I was wondering of this lens is good "wide open" at 4.5?  What would be 
a fair price for it?
