Atlux (was Re: [APML] New Shots. film LRGB, TP etc)
Dear Jeff, Atlux is a great mount fitted with SS2K so fully goto. It is very
stable yet transportable, its total weight (head+counter bar) less than
20Kg. Mine has a PE within +-5" as declared (no PEC activated). I was
surprised it is not imported in the US. I will post some pictures of it and
a brief review shortly (hopefully) on my web site. No problem of guiding, I
used to get 0 and 1 with my former ST4 and also STV works flawlessly. You
need anyway a special home-made adapter to plug STV or ST4 to the SS2K
(http://astrosurf.com/lorenzi/articles/ss2k_stv.htm). Atlux is very similar
to Tak EM200 I also used but GOTO as standard.
Marco
