Hi Michael:
SOBIG may be one of those "spoofing" worms that uses your address, not your
computer. So the e-mails with the infection are coming from the hacker's
computer under your address but your machine is not infected. At least
that's the way I understand it.
Once they have your address, you can't do anything about it, but at least
you're not responsible for what's going out. I notice that a lot of people
use modified addresses in their e-mails, like "soandso at isp.net" putting
in spaces and the the word "at" instead of the at sign. That presumably
slows down or prevents automated harvesting of your address by hackers'
programs.
Maybe one of the computer experts will chime in here?
