Re: [APML] Some Summer Shots :-)

With ISO 400 film using a 50 mm Minolta lens at f1.8 I got deeper saturation of color at 5 minutes, but not enough red around some of the nebulas.  You are going about 3 f-stops higher than mine, so you should probably have gone at least 20 minutes per shot for better color saturation.  So, if possible use a wider open f-stop or expose longer.

However, if light pollution is a problem, which it looks like it may be from your 28mm shot, then longer exposures will wipe out anything.

Now I know where I can post my images since I do not have a website yet.  Check this one for a shot with Sagitarius and north in it.

Subject: [APML] Some Summer Shots :-)

Hello all, since I don't even have my own website yet (this is nearly as bad as snail-mail :-) ) I've posted some of my widefield astro shots taken recently of the Summer Milkyway on the Astromart site. All piggybacked on my 8" SCT. They can be found here....

Please feel free to comment on these shots, i can only get better (but not as good as you guys yet!!!!!!!)
Much appreciated, Keith.....
