Hi John

Miss you from the ATM list.
You may want to do a web search for a manual (overhaul type) for the
camera. You will want to unscrew a lot of stuff from the top before you
start doing any machining on the camera body.
I just did a major butcher job on a very dead Pentax ME-Super to turn it
into a knife edge focuser. I also removed the pentaprism so that I could
add a magnifier loupe to view the screen. Once all the unrequired parts
are off (pentaprism, photocells, etc) a dremel does a nice job of
slicing off the cover bits that you don't want.
If you have a go at the entire camera body intact with your mill chances
are that you will end up with swarf in the shutter mechanism.
