I should also mention that, from what I have heard, the Canon D100 does not
have mirror lockup and cannot be controlled by the TC80N3 timer remote, so
it's not as good for astrophotography as the 10D is. I have heard that it's
noisier too.

I am having lots of fun with the 10D, so I second Bert's suggestion!
