Hi John. Seems we're all actually talking about the 
same thing, just using different terminology. If
you consider the flange (good word) as part of
a modified T-ring, then what William says makes 
sense. But since you can install different T-ring
"outer parts" to the flange to accomodate different
cameras, I tend to think of the flange as part of
the NEG itself, despite the fact that it is firmly 
attached to the T-ring "outer part."
